I'm not familiar with podCasts... aren't they just MP3 recorded programs?

If so, how does that make it an iPod feature? Can't any MP3 player use 'em?

There are a few ESPN ones that I've downloaded with some consistency. They're alright, mostly football and general sports talk. I've discovered that finding a good music podcast is tough, namely because peoples' taste blows.

The only other podcast I've downloaded is for running. It's a techno track that plays at 180 bpm.

And then there's ODEO, which was started by the guy that invented Blogger.com - Odeo is supposed to be a podcast directory, and it's apparently pretty good, but I haven't messed around with it too much to really know.

Next he'll be buying into over-priced vacuums. It's a conspiracy.
Dyson won't become a monopoly in any segment nor drive the better companies out of business leaving the consumer with no better options. Thank you very much kiddies :clue:

Webcasting is the original term and technology and it came out in the mid-nineties about the time the WWW started becoming more popular and streaming audio was in its infancy.

Broadcasting mp3 streams came out later in the 90s with Nullsoft's 1998 release of shoutcast technology (still in widespread useage today - thousands of worldwide streams) and podcast was coined six years later by clueless newbies. The use of RSS with webcasting was used 3 years prior podcasting with video webcasting even - not even that is original.

Owners often can't accept their widget isn't best due to cognitive dissonance combined with limited user experience (small sample size).

Sorry if I hurt your feelings about your vacuum purchase. Maybe you need a Dyson Airblade so you can both suck and blow
