with this setup I can Sit and pedal for an hour with out too much trouble , the boredon factor doesn't get to me .

In the past I have always watched a Hockey Game on espn/nesn/fsn while just pedalling away. at least till this snow Melts.

Why don't you make it a generator, so the faster you pedal, the more energy into your computer. ie; you don't pedal, the computer doesn't work.

i've got a similar setup, but no computer is involved. i've got rubber bands set up between the shifters so i can hold a book in place. gets homework done and keeps me from being bored out of my mind.
