This is kind of a follow up to the "love marz" thread. Ok so lots of people like marz. Curious does anyone like other companies. Or is this a "like on company" only situation

I liked the boxxer, played on it even though it was undersprung. Good weight, the boing boing feeling took a bit to get used to but still not the worst fork I have ridden.
JrT, probably the worse fork I have used. Boing boing feeling but felt inconsistent. Didn't respond consistently at all even after rebuilds.
Z1Fr - loved the fork. Too bad I couldn't afford the super in 03. This has been the best fork to date
MonsterT - not much time on it but it was ok. Too heavy for my riding, but Captain Crunch who I traded it to loves it (from a boxxer)
dj - sucked. Only fork I didn't like the feel of. But thats not the forks fault, I don't like stiff forks, I like sag and plushness.
Slider spv evolve - closest thing to the z1fr I have found once the spring, air and damping are set right. Amazing fork.

I guess what I am saying is, why the hate for any one company. I am sure there are good and bad forks from all of the. Do you have to hate every other company to love one? I used to be a marz only guy but recently started playing on other forks to see why people hate boxxers or sliders or heck any fork...am I just seeing this as a glass "half full" haha

simple, because the boxxer IS the Jr T. It uses the same damping technology. It shares many of the same ride qualities.

I used to be an "all marz" guy too. Now i ride a boxxer. It works really well, and i ve had no more trouble tuning it than ive had with any of my zokes. Funny thing too, ive owned 5 marz forks and every one of them had to go back for warranty except the shiver. Some of them went back multiple times also...one went back 5 times! In a strong year of racing and FR i have yet to have any issue with my boxxer that needed warranty.

I think alot of it comes down to peoples experience and how they deal with it. It seems some people just wont let problems go. I wonder if they hate everything else in the world that has broken or some how had a problem. You have to remember too for every 1 complaint three has to be 10x the number of satisfied users. For some reason though we only like to speak up when there is a problem, and thats what people remember.

I'm with Kai, I'll ride pretty much anything I can get a good deal on, and I rarely have any major complaints. I have one or two nagging bike problems a season, mostly caused by laziness or underfunding, but they never slow me down too much. Last season it was shimano pedals breaking/clogging. This season it's been leaky fork (fixed), torn tire casing (replaced), minor driveline issues (fixed), rear disc brake rubbing and mediocre lever feel (I suppose I should address this soon), and a creaky bottom bracket (need to chase and face it). None of these can problems can be blamed on the manufacturer (except maybe the pedals clogging with mud, I have crank bros. now). I dream of the day when I can say "Oh, product X just isn't properly enriching my cycling experience, so I'm just going to buy product Y, because the internet says it's better".
