Does Platty ever run the triple anymore?

The past several times I've been there it seems like the double is all that's open. Is the stuff on the other side still there/rideable?

my guess is no. I went 2011-2014??? hoping to get a day on the triple, it happened only once, I think. There were like repair problems then something then something else. Now they're practically closed.

They're opening the first weekend of July, August, September and October. I'll be there this Sunday. Anyone else going?

the triple is definitely the older lift. i think they run it if they have a race course on that side.

granted, i'd say it's easier to hike a bike from the double side to the triple than vice versa.

I rode platty before the double lift even existed #hardcorebro

that being said, I'd argue that the double has more trails and more variety, while the triple is more challenging right from the start. I love them both tho.

love the trails, kind of over some of the staff. part of the reason i haven't made an effort to go since 2014.
I think the last time I was there was for the late April trail work weekend in 2014 before they opened for the summer.

Had a fun day of work on Saturday, but camping in the lot Saturday night it was ~20F, gale force winds and snowed.

We were so damn cold on Sunday we headed home and didn't ride :(

Now I'm too far away and have to live in the Rockies instead...

I think '14 was the last time I was there. I have a pass from every year from like 01 when they started issuing fast access passes through like 2013 when they stopped. I'm hoping to get out in october, I think, if my wrist has healed.

I drove 2.5 hrs to Platty on Sunday and couldn't wait! But I was f'ing tired when I got there. I'm the first to say that you need to be on 100% when you ride Platty. I wasn't. I loved riding what I did, but I pussied out on everything! Well, hopefully I can make it back in October and be on my game.

They put the double in around 2002-2003. I believe they purchased it from Belleayre.
