Mine does. I need to run through three sheets of paper before I get one with a good two-sided print. So much for being green.

Is it an office printer or consumer printer? If its an office printer it might need maintenance kit installed - has new rollers etc. Make sure you aren't using really cheap/crappy paper and the paper tray is setup right.
Office. The fix-it guy is here on a frequent and regular basis. The paper is what Stalin orders it to be.
