Regardless of whether you lean Democratic or Republican, here’s an undeniable fact: Nunes lied. He lied to the American people and to his own constituents about the Ukraine allegations, dismissing them although he knew they were true. He deliberately misled the American people by attempting to undermine impeachment hearings that examined an anti-Biden effort in which his own office had direct involvement.
.....
Devin Nunes has betrayed the truth, betrayed the trust of voters and, quite possibly, betrayed our country.

He rebuilt our military & brought back our strength which help with negotiating with the Soviet Union, helped end the cold war, tax reform, 'Reganomics" dropped unemployment from approx 20%-10%, cut nuclear weapons. Those are a few off the top of my mind.
Fair to say he made some good improvements in the military at the time, IIRC things were still recovering from Vietnam. That being said, the counterpoint I've read about and come to accept is that Raegan's massive military spending gave way to the insane MIC we have today, complete with war for profit and incredibly wasteful spending while our citizens can't afford medications or higher education. As an aside, he also tripled the national debt, gutted social safety nets and privatized the prison industry, while ignoring the AIDS crisis.

I'm not going to approach Reaganomics, but I will say you're one of the first I've seen defend it as a good idea, especially given the historic wealth inequality we're currently facing.

Fiscal policy of the central bank spurred the economy. Reagan's tax breaks just gave most of that boom to the rich and military contractors.

You might not believe in voodoo, but you have to admit he could read the teleprompter like a champ.

Interesting timing. I was browsing a "trump supporter" forum where normal people could ask 'pedes what their reasoning was for voting for Trump. One question was in regards to the second ammendment, and what restrictions were reasonable for people to own weapons. At least a few people commented that there should be no restrictions, shy of some chemical weapons and nuclear arms, and that if citizens wanted to buy an aircraft carrier or battleship, that they should be allowed to. That those were God-given rights, that the government cannot take away from them, and that other nations are doing wrong by saying "you can't have a tactical nuclear sub, even if you can afford it". This line of thought is pretty scary for me- that this guy thinks he is entitled to arms of any sort with no restrictions, and that no restrictions on automatics, or grenade launchers, or anything else is reasonable. This guy crawled out of his mother's basement, into his ahegao stickered escort, and now thinks his God gave him the unalienable right to a rocket launcher. OK DOOD.
One who truly believes in a god given right should also believe that it is impossible for a government to limit or will always fully support said rights. Gun nuts should be more like Christian Scientists, keep your faithless 2nd amendment away!

"...in the middle of the Iran hostage crisis, the Reagan campaign made a secret deal with the new rulers of Iran to delay the release of the hostages until after the election, dooming Carter’s chances of victory..."

So conspiring with foreign governments to affect elections is normal?

Alternative headline: Bill Barr's DOJ continues to run cover for Trump. Or; Even Bill Barr validates two FISA Warrants against Page.

This is just like the two Clinton investigations run entirely by Republicans that came up empty. Or the "the FBI spied on the Trump campaign" investigation. Or the Mueller Report "summary". Or all the other bullshit, baseless investigations they do and come up empty. The results aren't the point. Being able to crow about it on right wing extremist TV for brian dead, authoritarian morons, is the point.
