And raise your hand if you didnt see him refusing to testify miles and miles ago. Anyone? Bueller? Bueller?

this defense is terrible. I was discussing with a lawyer friend, she thinks what she's heard so far from this 'defense' is malpractice.Fuck this current lawyer calling for unity and moving on...
Turned it off for the time being, I'll see if I feel the need to put it back on in a while.this defense is terrible. I was discussing with a lawyer friend, she thinks what she's heard so far from this 'defense' is malpractice.

Hopefully it swings votes away from those senators in their next election.Does anyone else think this was a waste of time? When they know that the Repugs will not turn on him out of fear for their own futures? There a few balls on the Right, nowhere near enough to turn the vote...so why bother? In search of what end result??? Embarrass Trump? He does enough of that on his own. If convicted, he will be banned from office, but I dont think it was in his plans anyway...all this is doing is ripping a scab off that would probably never heal on its own anyway and further deepening his idiot followers devotion to him.
My cynical side says it is an exercise in futility...I want to see him hemmed up in civilian court.
This. I really *need* to see that portion of the Republican party simply be the noisy, Nazi rabble-rousers that they are - over there in the corner with the dunce-cap on.Hopefully it swings votes away from those senators in their next election.
Because they are complicit.
I keep thinking that if this were a real trial in a real court with an actual impartial jury, this shit wouldn't fly. But both halves of the jury are biased as hell. What we need is a better system to check and balance these motherfuckers. This nonsense is like a murder trial where 6 of the jurors are the victim's family and the other 6 are the assholes that helped plan the murder, procured the weapon, provided an alibi, and drove the getaway car.The reason that spineless Rs can hamstring this effort is precisely because it is NOT bound by the rules of a criminal court.
......both halves
