So the message at tonight's meeting was it's a bunch of bullshit charges that aren't even real laws. My comment was if he hadn't paid to have sex with a porn star while his wife was pregnant, this wouldn't be an issue. Dale's response was "how long ago was this? Who didn't do dumb shit in the 90's?".

That's funny, the defense could have called any relevant witness that they wanted. Gee maybe those witnesses are a figment of Donald's imagination or maybe they weren't willing to perjure themselves on his behalf.
Yeah, it's not like he offered to testify.

he didn't pay to have sex with her (that's prostitution, only legal in nevada) he paid her to keep it quiet (technically not illegal) and then ran falsified payment paperwork through his company in order to not have it negatively impact his presidential campaign. the false paperwork & his motive is what he was on trial for, and what he was convicted for. he was dead to rights on that issue.

Are American felons allowed into Canada?

I know the US does not allow Canadian felons in. Hopefully we extend the same courtesy.
Last I checked, Canada does not allow anyone who has committed a Canadian felony into their country. It’s why they don’t let people who have DUI convictions visit. Because a DUI is a felony in Canada, even though it’s not in America. Wait, aren’t you Canadian?

from what I was reading last night, now that he's been convicted, he's being assigned a probation officer (until sentencing) and will require permission from the probation officer to leave NY state for any reason.

I'm pretty sure he also paid for the sex as I don't see folks getting in line to bang him, but I'm no expert. But yes, it was the hush money that was the issue at hand.

I was just trying to make the point that had he had any morals, the whole issue could have been avoided. I just thought the justification was hilarious.

Who here hasn't had sex with a porn star will your third wife is pregnant with your fifth kid?
