"Lack of talent" is a myth. Lack of cheap talent is the reality.
One thing I read, is that H1B is not only about lower wages.
Its also about 60+ hour workweeks. You can extract performance you cant from a citizen/gc holder.
A buddy of mine got a recruiter from Intel busted. He had 6 dudes from India living in an appointment and was paying them very little while billing Intel top dollar. There is a minimum payment vs billed hours in Oregon. But there is also no overtime in Oregon (above 40 hours is still straight pay, not 1.5).

Maybe it’ll be under this administration that something will finally give.

Rising cost of living for workers (think housing not eggs), pressure to cut costs for better profit for corporations, weak markets for sales, ever increasing wealth gap…

In spite of what some people say, the “size of the pie” is limited. Maybe people will finally realize that they are getting a smaller slice, not bc the pie is being hogged by illegals, but bc the multimillionaire and billionaire class is a bunch of gluttons.

Edit - read my own post and thought, “who the fuck I am trying to fool…”

In a van.... down by the river
Amazing that workers themselves have been convinced to vote against their own interests, and oppose labor unions, socialized healthcare, sick/maternity leave, etc.
We'll just distract them with bloodthirsty brown people, mothers murdering their own babies, and teh gays.

The bunker at parliament
Does it come with an Elon post commenting on the size of the document?

Should the strategy of a solo mega-bill firm up, Johnson indicated that it was likely to contain several politically contested elements. They include extra funding for federal agencies to counter cross-border immigration, extending Trump’s 2017 tax cuts that are due to expire at the end of this year, and what the speaker called “dismantling the ‘deep state’”.

That last bit “dismantling the ‘deep state’”?
What the hell will that be?
Terminating the employment of any government official NOT a member of the Republican party?

Schedule F.
Clear out the qualified people at the top of the agencies and replace them with political yes men.
That is the deep state - educated and qualified public servants who put country ahead of party.
