I read about some group that would take old mtn. bike tires to help make wheels chairs for people in Africa. cant find the group. and if im completely wrong, is there any were else i can send old tires that will be better than just throwing them away?

really?
sounds nice, but it strikes me as strange, since cheap tires for wheelchairs can be had (wholesale) for under $3 (delivery and duties paid) and shipping a worn tire from the states would probably cost as much.
