Try a personal letter or email to the actual person doing the hiring with a non-canned cover letter that relates your education and experience to the specific qualifications or job skills sought in the company's job description. Yeah, it may take a phone call or two in order to run down these details but your research on the front end pays dividends later when the BHDM recognizes your effort and resourcefulness when compared to the mountain of " Dear Sir or Madam" and 'To Whom it May Concern" applicants.
