i read yesterday that Steve Jobs blinked a few years ago, before iPodmania brought Apple deep into the black. seems he had a huge stock option program granted to him when he re-joined Apple, but the shares were underwater for a long time. he renegogiated to get a smaller package at a better price, but had he held out and not changed this, at today's stock price he'd be up an additional 2.5 billion.

he still made out ok on the Pixar deal, so don't cry for him.
