Is it normal for there to be air coming from the small holes underneath the top crown when compressed? Mine sounds like a ball pump when I compress it and it feels pretty crappy.
Thanks for the reply and the advice. That thing is as tight as can be and the air is coming from the four small holes underneath the crown. Also, the adjustments (both compression and rebound) are totally locked up and refuse to budge. Bummer, maybe it's time to go right back to Manitou. This sucks becasue I just got it back from them and it was like this when I received it. Ah well. Thanks again.
Yeah, it totally worked. I popped the top and fiddled with the knobs a bit more and presto! works like a charm. Thanks a bunch for the great idea. Weird how that happens. I'm a now
Air is still escaping from the small holes underneath the crown when the fork is being compressed but everything else seems to be cool. This is my first experience with a dorado. Is the air coming out of those holes under compression normal? It sounds like a ball pump.
Yeah, I sent him a pm. Thanks again for the advice. I don't think that's normal either and, overall, the fork doesn't feel very good. It's not very smooth. My fox vanilla rlc felt MUCH smoother and I don't believe that's the way it should be. Anyway, thanks agian for the advice. It's nice to be able to actually turn the adjustments again
how long have you had them? i know for about the first 30 hrs or so of riding they feel really stiff and slow to rebound, don't worry this is just the forks initial bedding in period basically they will bed in and perform a lot better the more you ride them
