I've been offered a brand new dorado x works at a good price. Has anybody on the forums used this fork before and if so whats the pro's and con's? I know they have been scrapped so would worry about spares. Thanks for all responses.

ok ask the guuy whether the fork got an overhaul from Answer and what they did with the fork.
the fork had a number of problems from to tight bushings to problems with the SPV.

when it finally works it works like a charm but when it doesn't its a nightmare.

No work has been done on the fork, they are just as they came out of the factory. Think I would be better going for a 03 dorado?

just stick with the regular 03 or 04 dorado

maybe consider the whitbrothers DH 2.0.
but this is a suggestion i only have 2nd hand knowledge about. so take it with a grain of salt

or you could buy my X-works which will get the overhaul hopefully soon. :)

That fork was 'unofficially' recalled. It is no longer made and Maniotu can't make the ones out there work corrrectly. They have bought some of them back from customers because they could not fix them.
