ANOTHER aquaintence/friend gone for me this year...but it is not about me. I have started a fund for whatever memorial is appropriate, some cool ideas are emerging. He left behind his wife, Emily, and his son, David.

What a bummer, and so sad for his family...I've admired that guy for years.

Update, Doug actually died trying to help a freind that fell on an ice patch, and fell over a cliff. Doug followed his tracks in order to assess the situation, and fell as well. He fell close to 1600 feet to his death. A true guide, friend, and mensch to the end.
