Hi Gang,

I have been getting into Downhilling this summer. I just bought a 2006 Turner DHR at a good price. I presently own a 7 inch 888RC. Is this a good fork for this bike? Will the balance of the bike be messed up with 8.5 in the back, and a 7 inch fork? What are the Pros and Cons of this set up. I really dont have the cash for a new fork. Any help is appreciated.

I wouldn't worry about it. Just make sure the front is a little stiffer than the rear.

That's a great setup. Remember, when that frame was designed, all DH forks were 7".

The 888 is pretty tall to begin with, and you can vary the headset lower cup height with different designs....


but...

I would agree, nothing to worry about except having fun and not getting hurt..
