Quick question for those of you with downtube cable routing, how do you protect it when using a shuttle or tailgate? Seems like enough frames are out right now for people to have creative solutions to help protect the lines at the headtube. Thanks for any suggestions.

I think this would protect your frame and your cables.

an old folded up blanket works just as well.

We used a Dakine cover and the exposed cable almost rubbed through the downtube on my old Foes. Full length tubing on the cables helps and fuzzy velcro under the cable helps too.

Don't shuttle with your bike on the tailgate. It's sucks! Wrecks your bike and others in the truck. My mates frame has a couple of dents now from it! Build a rack out of 2x4 and tie the bikes in on rough roads! So much nicer and easier!
