Both shocks are very good, the thing I didn't like about the HLR Air is that you have to do air sleeve mantainance often because a) you loose negative air pressure (it doesn't have auto equalizing dimple) and b) you get a lot of contamination (wiper and quad ring need a bit more squeeze).
Not the first but they are rare. All the people I've known to have problems with it had just set it up wrong (or with the wrong chamber).
I went from a coil RC4 to an air DB and in my opinion it is an improvement in the damping department. Didn't do it for the weight really since an RC4 with a slightly too short progressive susp ti spring isn't that much heavier.
thanks for the help tac and nor! my buddy and i are looking for a vector air for his bike (having trouble finding his size at a decent price), and we've been tossing around the idea of a ccdba as well.
