How's it done? is it just a spring/spacer swap or do I need to change the cartridges? just curious...I'm looking to buy one, and wanna know. Also, I was on the phone with Marzocchi (I forgot to ask about the travel change), they said the A to C is 572 - can anyone confirm this?

you want to buy a 7 1'2 fork and make it a 7" fork? what is 1/2" going to accomplish????

Didn't say I was going to lower it, just wanted to know how it's done. I like to know about options before buying.....Thanks!

What about the A to C, anyone have that?

the HSCV in the 66 is not the same cartridge system as the Shiver.

The correct way is to swap carts, but there is another way, sorta a getto cheating method.

The method doesnt involve shortening the cartriges, but rather make the fork bottomout prematurely which allows you to drop the AC of the fork. When the Shiver bottoms out, it happens when the lower sliders contact the topcaps. By placing a spacer (or bottomout bumper) just under the topcap you'll limit the travel by the spacer height and can drop the corresponding AC height. The spacer needs to not be able to slide around, nor contact any of the internals.

I dont recommend you do it, but its a way.

Thanks, I appreciate the info. I doubt I'll be changing the travel, no need to -Was Marzocchi correct with the 572 A to C (@190mm travel)?
