It was a beautiful Saturday morning. The sun was shining, and it wasn't too cold for the middle of February. Rich, the Godfather, and Ricky did not have much time to warm up, the "good" video light was fading fast. So after a quick warm up and a steep climb to the top, the Godfather was ready to go. "Rollin" followed by the sound of Rich's wheels on the trail, followed by silence, then clanks, but not the bad type. Rich had made it look easy.
Ricky, still reeling for a late Friday theme party, got immediately pumped, cased his warm up line, and was ready to fly for the first time. Go time! After a few timing runs, Ricky is zooms in and let's it rip. He flys across a 20 foot gap and down a 25 foot drop. HUGE!
This is why I am up at 5:30 am on my days off. This is why I spend almost every last dime I have. It's all about the experience. I may not have the skill, or cajones these guys do, but I still love this sport!
