I want to move to BC!!!
Hi all,

I cannot thread the m3x8 allen bolts that attach the plastic backplates to the alloy boomerang. The holes on the alloy boomerang just seem too narrow. Any ideas?

Ok, the 4 holes on the alloy plate are NOT threaded, and i dont know if they should have been. I ve started threading them slowly using the longer m3x14 bolts, but halfway i got one of them broken into a hole.... damn i need a drill now .

Couldnt they just thread the holes

Something must be wrong with your guide, they are threaded. Call up someone at the office(probably Michael or John) first thing on Tues. and they will get you straightened out. You must have gotten a bad inner plate or something.

Ok i ll do that. Those 4 holes on the inner plate were not threaded at all. I am sure about this because i inspected them thoroughly before any attempts. Now i got 4 holes semi threaded, 3 ruined m3x14 bolts (i still got the 4 m3x8 that i need intact) and 1 broken m3x14 bolt into one of those holes :(. Bummer, i was so eager to assemble it prior to getting it to my bike....

If you get a hold of the E13 guys, I'm sure they'll hook you up by sending out a new backplate ASAP or something. Sounds like a QC issue; luckily, their CS should straighten you out real fast.

You could wrap the boomerang with a few layers electrical tape as a quick fix, and ride it until the new plate comes in...

Well i guess if i can manage to screw the other 3 bolts properly the 4th one wont make a difference for some rides... Its a major bummer though, I got the DRS 2 months ago from the US, i was in Greece looking forward to return to the UK in order to install it, and 2 months later i am here and all sh1t hits the fan...
