i've got an old dt swiss 340 rear hub, 135x10 thru axle. anyone know if it can be converted to 142x12? all the conversion kits I've seen so are don't list this hub as compatible.

the ID on the axle sleeve is ~10.5mm, so it would need end caps + axle sleeve for it to work.

I used to have one of those old 340s, w/the 240 ratchet mech.

Yeah, thought i had a second inner axle, I don't, only end caps for a 15 inner axle and a xd driver conversion.

does your axle sleeve have the flanges like this:

that's the part style I would need (in addition to the end caps), none of them list the 340 as compatible, but that doesn't mean it wouldn't fit.

It does, if you wanted accurate dimensions I could pull mine apart.

i hate to ask you to have to pull a hub apart. if you already had it apart that'd be one thing.

i just remembered i have a 350 on my other bike, but its a 148 hub. the diameter of the sleeve matches. ~15. both use 6902 bearings.

yea. i can't imagine the bearing spacing being different between the 240/350/440 and the 340 for a 135 spaced hub shell.

i run HG still, your end caps wouldn't work. those are also inexpensive.
