Seems like I’ve done something to my dt 240 endcap on the non-drive side of the front hub. It just pops off and is very loose when in there. Feel like I’m missing a piece or something. Also, when I tighten it down, the brake rubs. Looked for an exploded diagram, but no luck. Any thoughts? Thanks.

The stepped ring that's in the body on top of the bearing should be the other way around, capturing the cap
This will be fun to get out. Will have to pop the bearing out to push this ring out. It’s in there good with nothing to pry on to release it.

I have some kind of bastard 240 that doesn't have normal removable endcaps.

Or buy the chinese bearing press kit that includes those and like elleventy billion more for probably cheaper. I used it to do my hope hubs and BB bearings last week.

Yeah, it can definitely be done cheaper. I don’t have all my workshop tools here and I just wanted to do it the easy way for a change. Happy to say it was pretty damn easy with the tools… and probably not too far off if you have the right size socket, etc.
