Noreal forum area for dual bikes so I figured I'd put it in here...

Just picked up a Staats frame and looking to run gears, what's the best set up these days? 8 or 9 speed? I was thinking about running Shimano 105 rear der.

i have always run 9 speed, and the range will be better for dual if you really want to be picky about the gears. i'd say 9 speed because there are a lot of nicer derraileurs available for it, but a lot of people like 8 because of the slightly lower amount of error that can potentially happen. post up your rig! staats frames are really nice.

No pic's yet. It's just the gold full OX frame, I don't think they make them anymore but I could be wrong...


I hope I can have it built and ridable alittle before the season starts.
