I was looking at www.nsmb.com and saw that the 2005 Marzocchi 888RC and 66RC have Dual HSCV internals and the 888R and 66R have HSCV one side and SSVF on the other. Would there be much performance difference between the RC and the R modles

This is the same situation as the '03 Super T versus the '04. The '03 has dual HSCV and the '04 has one HSCV and one SSVF. The SSVF saves money so the price was lower so the '04 Super T would not really compete with the 888R. Apparently they noticed the difference in performance between the '03 and '04 Super T's, otherwise they wouldn't be selling two different versions of the same fork with different valving in '05. If you're just freeriding, the R stuff is probably fine, but if you're racing or riding fast, go with the RC? Unfortunately, this is coming from one of those people that you hate, that has little experience (never ridden an '04 Super T on the trail), but is just speaking theoretically. Hope it helps nonetheless.
Oh, what's the price difference?

I've ridden both 03 and 04 super T's, though not extensivly, and they felt very similar to me. No spiking like Jr's was experienced on the 04, and it felt as plush as the 03 and my z150 with HCSV.
