Dumb question, how do you change the "turbo monkey/chimp/monkey" wording?

Yeah yeah I know stupid question but I'm stumped...

How do you change what it says instead of "turbo monkey" below your screen name? I looked in the User CP and couldn't find anything that seemed to relate to it. Some help would be great :)

You can't.

Only the mods can. Anyone who has something different than stock chimp/monkey/etc., has it because a mod saw fit to change it. Usually because you did something stupid/funny/etc.

The name has to do with how many posts you have. To get a custom title, one on the admins has to change it. If I'm not mistaken, less than 100 is chimp, 100-1000 is monkey and greater than 100 is turbo monkey. Maybe you can bribe an admin to give you a custom title.

I gotcha, I was thinking to myself there has to be a setting somewhere, but that User CP doesn't have it. Oh well.......

I would have thought with all the users that it'd be lame to send Ridemonkey or an admin a PM every time someone wanted to change what it said. I was just guessing after 1,000 posts somewhere you could change it.

Look at my submission for the AMBP logo. Might be on p. 2 or 3 for you; I forget not everyone has a gazillion posts-per-page set like I do.

It's based on a pic TJ posted on RM for some reason known only to himself and God...

Ahhh yes. It relevance to a theoretical custom title is weak though ;)

"Mullet Mocker" or "Pat Benatar Stalker" would have been funny and far less obscure :oink:

I don't remember what i did to get my custom title. Must of been dumb.


Could be worse. I could have rips title

or firetools.
Or Spungers.

Now that I think of it, I think it was me and kadvang wanting some titles so we just bugged the crap out of him and look what we got.


The system does work........
