    Anyone we know?

    Updated: 5:20 p.m.

SANTA CRUZ — An intoxicated cyclist was badly hurt when he missed a turn on Mission Street, flipped over a road divider and landed under a stopped vehicle just after 4:30 p.m.

Witnesses calling 911 reported that the person on the bike was under the tires of a pickup, unconscious and breathing irregularly, according to emergency dispatchers.

The man was riding down Mission Street — from Holy Cross toward the Town Clock — when he attempted to turn right onto Center Street, but lost control of his bike and wrecked, according to authorities. It’s unclear if the pickup ran him over or not, but the woman driving the pickup was not responsible for the crash, according to police.

It was the man’s second bike accident in as many days, authorities said. He was not wearing a helmet.

He was flown from Dominican Hospital to an out-of-county trauma center for treatment. [note that is an $18,000 helicopter flight that he will get the bill for]

The socialist commune celebrated Marx and Lenin's birthdays and Blue couldn't help himself?

I'm sure it was one of the homeless guys that rides past my shop all day long. In fact I remember seeing a guy on a bike that looked drunk yesterday. And the day before. And the day before that...

Then there's the guy that has a mobile detailing business that he operates from his bike and a trailer. He did my car and did a pretty decent job for cheap. You have to respect a guy that is proactive. If anybody in SC wants a good cheap detail I will give you his number. Maybe this guy can get out of the shelter.
