Anyone interesting in some Dura Ace 7900 parts?
STI
Front derailleur
Rear derailleur
11-25 cassette

All are brand new, have been installed, but never ridden. Basically stripped off of a new bike. Have a set of 7800 brake and crankset in either 172.5mm or 175mm I can throw in if desired. Those are used, but not very much, less than 100 miles...

Trying to see if it's worth it for an upgrade on some of the other parts, if I can get close $$$-wise I want to jump for it.
Anybody want to make the leap to the new stuff?

And yes, I know that this should go in the classified, but we all know that this is the main roadie place on the site, we're all in it together...

Trying to convince myself that I need Di2. "Keeping up with the Joneses" at work...

I guess "need" is a relative term. Even at hookup prices it's a little insane.

just fight the urge James, i mean its in your best interest to not sale the 7900....well, my best interest to , cause i will have a 7900 group for sale soon :D

I tried the Di2 on my buddies bike. While being super uber cool. I found it to be kind of a waste. Plus you cant dump the whole cassette.

while you can't dump the whole cassette in a single swoop, you can fire through that shifter with unparalleled speed and accuracy.

Well, I could sell my extra 7800 kit, which would get me just about close enough to reach it. But then if I keep the 7900, I'd need another set of brakes and crankset. And what bike would I put it on? Best to sell it I think.

My buddy set up the order for me, but still pondering it.

Where is your group coming from? New bike? What are you putting on there?

Love the look of the 7900 but how does it work compare to the 7800?
I really prefer the shape of the hoods more. Tweaked to make them fit better in your hands. I haven't spent too much time on the new Campy 11spd stuff, so I can't really compare too much.

Front shifting on 7900 is above all else out there. With the 7900 crankset, it's the fastest shifting on the market. Dura Ace brakes always set the bar for power, and they're even more so now.

I have Red on another bike, and I really like that too, but I've always had DA as my favorite group. 7900 is the same, just more so...
