So after years of trying I am finally going to make it to Durango.

Looking for info. Feel free to drop all available knowledge on the terrain, course, setup, weather, gear, etc.

Got anyway I can send you a 21mb video? I have a pretty cool video from 2003 that I downloaded from somewhere (sorry can't remember where). I don't have enough webspace to host it or I'd offer.

Prepare for freak afternoon rain showers that turn the course into slime, but it can dry out fast. So prepare for anything. When it's dry the course is awesome, fast wide open with a few tricky sections in the trees, and a couple of 6ft+ drops depending on how fast you hit them.

I'm feeling a bit of trepidation about the two drops. But the more I look at 'em.....the more sure I am that I can do them.......

The big gap jump in the first pic is from 2002. It was replaced with a much friendlier double in 2003. The drops really aren't that bad, just intimidating. The pic below is the toughest part (though the pic does it no justice). You can see a whole bunch of shots of famous guys in this section in the July MBA in the "Ouch That's Gotta Hurt" section.

Leaving tonight for New Zealand, flying into Denver on the 24th then driving to Durango with McCormack.

No way man!!! You're gonna die!!!!

Yeah sram brakes were the same. Considering how most rotors have that wave bar structure, it's kind of weird that different companies suggest different mounting.

Yeah, when i prerode it in july, they took the big rock in the front out that made the entire thing difficult....it's going to be easy beans if they don't put it back for the national...the section is cake without it.
