Help us re-route the StepItUp trail away from the quiet zone. Sun through Wed, we're using a mini excavator to do the bulk of the work and now we need volunteers working behind the machine to do the finishing work. Let's git'r'done quick-like! It's gonna be better than the original with two passages under BigTree via two schweeeet Colonnade-esque rainbow bridges :).

We'll be working from noon to dark, but you can show up and leave whenever you like. Just ride or walk to the bottom of the Big Tree line an you'll find us. Or call Mike at 425-241-7806 when you get to the clearing and he'll guide you to the work site. You may have to call a couple times -- it's difficult to hear phones out there.

Mon: http://evergreenmtb.org/recreation/calendar.php?event_id=9059
Tues: http://evergreenmtb.org/recreation/calendar.php?event_id=9058
Wed: http://evergreenmtb.org/recreation/calendar.php?event_id=9060

Even if you've only got a few minutes to spare... ride by us on StepItUp or hit BigTree (but remember the last 4-5 jumps are closed), throw your bike down, fill a toter full of dirt, move it down the trail, dump it, shape it... and ride on!

Thanks,
Mike

It's going to be byootiful today and tomorrow... we need some quick help raking, smoothing and shaping behind the excavator. Also working on a bridge underpass under Big Tree. Stop by and move some dirt:

Tues: evergreenmtb.org/recreation/calendar.php?event_id=9058
Wed: evergreenmtb.org/recreation/calendar.php?event_id=9060

Or, help on your own time: We need a bunch of (~20) 8 ft long 2x8s and a few (~4) 8 ft long 4x4s hauled down to the bottom of Big tree. If you're riding and drop you're bike for 15 minutes to haul 1 or 2 of 'em down there, that would be schweeeeet. Just follow the Big Tree walk-up path down until you see where we've been digging. There's a bunch of lumber there already. And another huge thanks to Will and Roland for moving 20+ toter loads of dirt on Sunday!

HUGE THANKS to Walt and Stephen for coming yesterday and braving the worst rain and muck we've had to work in since last November!! You guys rock!! (Think back to last Nov: Bootcamp was still a 1 ft deep trench and a giant swimming pool... we had to kayak to the work site :)).

Cheers,
Mike
