Clean out your PMs, or just read this-

I was at Galyan's (big outdoors/sports store) yesterday buying some Christmas gifts and I walked over into the bike section. They carry a line of bikes branded by The North Face. Their full sus Trail bike looks almost 100% identical to last year's hollowpoints. Pivot placement and all, unless I'm missing something or you licensed the DW link to them, I'd check it out because they might be infringing

Yo man,

I worked with North Face and Iron Horse's parent company to develop that line of bikes for Northface. They are true dw-link bikes, check out the sticker on the chainstay! :D

Yeah, that was really cool working with a brand like Northface. They have some really high quality and manufacturing standards, they go visit the factory with surprise visits etc.. it has been awesome.

Being literally ONE guy, its pretty easy for people to think they can do what they want and pray I dont have the guts, ambition, or $$ to protect my inventions. It just blows that people cant play nice. The last thing I want to do is deal with things like this. Seriously, it sucks for me personally more than anyone. Oh well though, this is life and business I guess. Just have to keep your head up, try your hardest, and stay 2 steps ahead of the competition on the technology side. At least people are biting off several year old technology now. Regardless of what appears to be a copy of the old bikes or not, nothing is close to the current bikes. Thats the only "relief" in it all for me, everythig else just hurts, like someone kissed my girlfriend or something.

Dave if it turns out that the Faith line does infringe on your patent you should go after Giant. Maybe not with lawers and lawsuits at first, but if ya got proof that theyre using your design you should approach them about it.

Right now, there is no dw-link patent yet, there are several pending, but there is no granted patent. Until that happens, there is nothing more than opinion and speculation really. Im content with that, filing dates were a long time ago, so the work is protected. At this point its just a matter of waiting for that pesky little number! :D
