Hey, I am just rounding up to build my new DOC when it finally gets here, the last part needed is cranks and guide...I am going to order a e.13 STS today, but my question is its compatibility with the cranks. Currently I have the 5 bolt spider profile mountain bike cranks....while they are great cranks i might be switching to deity in the near future...I guess my question is, that if i buy the sts in one bolt patter, and in the future i want to change cranks the most i will have to buy is a new supercharger bashring with the correct bolt patter?!? am i right, thanks everyone i really want to get this thing ordered so let the responses fly :thumb:

did evil/e13 say they were going to be phasing out 5 bolt patterns, or was that my e-magination? if someone can confirm that, and i were you, i'd go ahead and get a 4 bolt spider and ring now and order the 4/104 STS.

e13 guys, why don't the chainwheels come in a 4-bolt pattern?

anywho, if you switch to Deity cranks, you can still use the spider you have with your Profiles.

There was a thread somewhere about E-13 not making the 5x94mm bolt pattern any more.

We have stopped making the 5-94 bolt pattern bashguards. our Crownwheels currently use the 5-110 BCD pattern for use with our bashguards. If you go with a 3 piece crankset be sure to use our Crownwheel to get proper wearplate/bashguard spacing. A lot of times the stock spiders are too thick in combination with their rings. If you have any issues during set up please feel free to get in touch directly at support@e13components.com
