Wow, it took me about six times looking through that page to realize what exactly was wrong with it. Hah, that's great. I wonder what Manitou's warrenty department would have to say about it? :p

NORCAL is the hizzle
That's the new Manitou "RRA" or "Reverse Reverse Arch" technology.

It's the hot new thing from the DRD, the Deparment of Redundancy Department.

It's not just the shifters, the levers are on upside down too. I think the bars might be also.

I bet he jacked a boxed bike and this is his best attempt at assembly

Also said that there is a little dirt on it from moving it around the garage. Must have a dirt floor in his garage, because there is quite a bit of dirt on those tires.

If he only rode it round the block, its either a very long block or a very dirty block. Check out the shifter cover and the stanchions.

Maybe the tyres did get dirty from the ride, if he assembled that poorly he probably didn't inflate them properly.

Either way the bloke needs a

Is this bike hot? Is George W. moron? Is the Pope catholic? Is the sky blue?

Who lives nearby? Can they ask to see it before they bid? :sneaky:

Why is that funny the fork arch goes in front right???

Btw, those manitou 74mm PM may be messed up now, they are not designed to be pulled on by a 6'6" man.

So after a bit of spacial thinking, I think I've come to the conclusion as to why the bike is like that. I think he had the bar/stem assembly detatched from the fork. He probably rotated the fork 180 degrees, and installed the bar/stem combo upside down, and rotated the levers. That would explain the upside down shifter on the wrong side, the tight brake cable being wrapped around the fork, but not the lever angle or the bar angle. I am guessing he figured out how to adjust those, but never touched the shifter (that would require removal of non-lock on grips, which with his mechanical skill, would be quite difficult).

So funny that Mani put the arch on the back so the V brake bosses could be closer to the tubes to stiffen brake action, like what 5 years ago?So tell me,where are the V brake bosses on a sherman??
They could put it back on the front and use probably 30% less material AND make it stiffer.
Rant over.
Well it's marketing, and i have one and it's plenty stiff anyway.I LOVE MARKETING!! :thumb:
