I've used a BYB telemetry to tune it.
The o chain have a dead pedal... So it's not really doing a good job

Yeah don't mind the dead feel when hammering down. Have it on the V10, nomad and ones going on Norco range..keeps rear wheel disconnected from chain/pedals and allows me more control.

I would like more speed, the no assist after 20 needs to be faster...

Had a system on order for balancing suspension that was consumed by a bigger company and stopped . W

Cab! That’s amazing that you get to ride with him. One of my childhood heroes.
He's a good dude fun to ride with and a cool guy...he's so slammed with his band and marketing...

He hits some nasty tech lines and goes big on jumps...
Yeah he and Andrew have been trying to get me to ebike for over a year....I kept telling them not my cup of tea...

So yes I got shit talked today, Andrew got wind I had one (wasn't saying shit didn't want to hear it) invited me and made sure to follow up with gloating..Steve just smirked...my other buddies talked crap behind me on trail lol...

Was a good day..

Alot of gloating and shit talking of me being a hold out...(Granted I talked shit the other way in past)

Ah. Yes. I wish all lighting brands put as much thought into their mounts. (also wish outbound was an affordable option over here)

I'm sorted for lights for off and on road riding now. But last time I was in the market outbound lights were definitely on my wishlist. Well... until I saw the shipped prices.

Yeah shipping kills it...
Sent the slash back east, $349...wtf lol...used to be $150 to $250

If you ever need options or there's a way I can help hit me up

Decided to keep the nomad as well...built it back up and rode Daley...man I like how a regular bike flicks in and out of shit so much faster and better than an ebike...(Yes pedalling up what I have E-Biked last 4 times really does a number on desire lol)

The ebike kind of kills the interaction between jibbing, terrain and evasive moves...they just plow....

So went and did 16+ miles on ebike with motor off . Not a lot of up hill some short jonts....
Wife had a ride planned from her coach we needed zone 2...
If you learn to rotate and roll legs and hips it's not so bad going up some steep crap as long as it's not really long.

For me, I figured the deadness was 50% due to the weight relative to my weight, but 50% just due to the kinematics of the Levo. My Heckler SL rides way closer to a normal bike than the Levo did, that's for sure. It's less floaty off booter jumps but it's also more stable in the air, and digs in a lot better when trying to brake down steep & loose.

Yeah I can see that...mass is hard to whip around without a throttle ..I can manhandle it but it's not as fun..
The heckler is a kick ass bike I rode one around a little and it was responsive, more so than the bullet...way more so than a kenevo turbo...

The kenevo kills nasty rock gardens and drops ..but it's a matter of mass and I have it set up like a DH bike more than poppy .(Even Poppy it would will not be poppy , it still tries to suck your soul out..lol)..

Try downsizing frame. Even just for a shot. Think you might be surprised at the difference it makes. Smaller Emtbs are always way more flicky, poppable and easier to make shapes in the air.
At just under 6ft tall the I found the old original 27.5" Kenevo in medium (430mm reach) was pretty easy to ride playfully. In fact. Way easier than any modern 490mm+ reach XL 29" normal enduro bike everybody else my height seems to ride. All that low down weight also means even small Emtbs are still more stable than a larger normal bike.
I hate big modern geometry Emtbs. Even most larges are horrendously un playful and just about throw your back out trying to pop the front up to the balance point.

It's a 21 kenevo turbo s5 I mulleted it .I may ride it with wife mainly and wait for a light powerful bike to come out being they are progressing so fast...

Figure 100+ torque 750 watt battery and sun 45 lbs would be a starting point and reliable ..(within reason)...more freeride DH style is a must.

I will say I am still a regular bike guy , I just prefer 36 - 38lbs of bike handling with no assist...

But wife's sold as a emtb person so I'll get us lighter bikes...she needs a heckler or something in the low 40s...me, maybe I'll find love for it but I'm a downhiller and grinder thru and thru...

I am buying her a new bronson or yeti (told her this yesterday after ride) as well for trips...I'd rather it be silent get in my head and just pedal no assist ..just as raw as it gets...

and prefer my emtb to smaller than my normal bike and weigh less than 50lb (currently 47lb but that's with exo tyres)

My size medium Heckler SL is ~44.5 lbs with DH tires, Zeb, Vivid, Mavens, bleep-bloop drivetrain & dropper, pedals, and EDC. You can build them up around 42 lbs easily if you stick with Lyrik/Super Deluxe, mechanical drivetrain/dropper, & lighter tires.

For the riding I do, the 150/160 setup is right around my sweet spot. When I hop on the 170mm Nomad after riding the Heckler a bunch, it feels to squishy so I've taken to running it with 10% higher pressure. My only wish with it is that it had a little bit more range for big rides with guys on full power bikes, but they are supposed to (finally) be releasing a range extender Q1 and also a 480wh battery that weighs the same as the current 430.

Yeah the heckler felt about as close to a normal MTB as anything I've ridden... The geo was pretty spot on as well ..

That's a damn good bike, the slash + has my curiosity as well ..but it still breaks down to motor and battery life...(Reliability is before all else)..

May sell the kenevo and see about a lighter bike here shortly...I'd like to wait and see reliability on lighter ones for my wife..I want her experience to be positive, when crap goes south and it's foreign to her it seems to tarnish the item out of fear or concern..
I fix everything so it doesn't bother me, but I see the tear down of stuff when I look at something ...naturally break it down to see how it works when I look at it.

Wife just wants to gas and go...lol
