Yeah don't mind the dead feel when hammering down. Have it on the V10, nomad and ones going on Norco range..keeps rear wheel disconnected from chain/pedals and allows me more control.I've used a BYB telemetry to tune it.
The o chain have a dead pedal... So it's not really doing a good job
He's a good dude fun to ride with and a cool guy...he's so slammed with his band and marketing...Cab! That’s amazing that you get to ride with him. One of my childhood heroes.
Yeah is there a way to have someone grab one and ship it cheaper maybe...so it's not a purchase but a repair or warranty status.Ah. Yes. I wish all lighting brands put as much thought into their mounts. (also wish outbound was an affordable option over here)
Yeah shipping kills it...I'm sorted for lights for off and on road riding now. But last time I was in the market outbound lights were definitely on my wishlist. Well... until I saw the shipped prices.
Yeah I can see that...mass is hard to whip around without a throttle ..I can manhandle it but it's not as fun..For me, I figured the deadness was 50% due to the weight relative to my weight, but 50% just due to the kinematics of the Levo. My Heckler SL rides way closer to a normal bike than the Levo did, that's for sure. It's less floaty off booter jumps but it's also more stable in the air, and digs in a lot better when trying to brake down steep & loose.
It's a 21 kenevo turbo s5 I mulleted it .I may ride it with wife mainly and wait for a light powerful bike to come out being they are progressing so fast...Try downsizing frame. Even just for a shot. Think you might be surprised at the difference it makes. Smaller Emtbs are always way more flicky, poppable and easier to make shapes in the air.
At just under 6ft tall the I found the old original 27.5" Kenevo in medium (430mm reach) was pretty easy to ride playfully. In fact. Way easier than any modern 490mm+ reach XL 29" normal enduro bike everybody else my height seems to ride. All that low down weight also means even small Emtbs are still more stable than a larger normal bike.
I hate big modern geometry Emtbs. Even most larges are horrendously un playful and just about throw your back out trying to pop the front up to the balance point.
Yeah the heckler felt about as close to a normal MTB as anything I've ridden... The geo was pretty spot on as well ..My size medium Heckler SL is ~44.5 lbs with DH tires, Zeb, Vivid, Mavens, bleep-bloop drivetrain & dropper, pedals, and EDC. You can build them up around 42 lbs easily if you stick with Lyrik/Super Deluxe, mechanical drivetrain/dropper, & lighter tires.
For the riding I do, the 150/160 setup is right around my sweet spot. When I hop on the 170mm Nomad after riding the Heckler a bunch, it feels to squishy so I've taken to running it with 10% higher pressure. My only wish with it is that it had a little bit more range for big rides with guys on full power bikes, but they are supposed to (finally) be releasing a range extender Q1 and also a 480wh battery that weighs the same as the current 430.
