Busted Frame Carnage!!! Ok, so it wasn't on a gnar singletrack/downhill section. I was going out on a quickie ride before taking the dog to the vet, got a good head-o-steam going, hit a bump, and PING!!! goes my frame. Keep going, take a look down, and notice a crack in front of the gusset on the seat tube/top tube junction. Get in touch with the area rep, take bike to LBS, rep had already contacted him, and it very well could be a warranty situation (I have had the frame for about 5-6 years now).
So let's see. During my cycling years, I've broken a seat post head, snapped the large cog, and now the frame. I don't count the few times I've snapped a chain, as that can be trail repaired. Guess my fatt a$$ is telling me something-- LOSE SOME DANG WEIGHT!!!
As long as I can get a new frame by Sea Otter, or I'll be riding the C-dale.......
