So who plans on going? I booked my flight last night, I will be there Tues night through Friday night. Gotta stay and go to class Mon and Tues so will miss the demo but oh well! Got a condo lined up for all of us on the Board of Directors for the Broken Spoke Festival... should be a sweet trip, never been.

What's the deal? Do you have to register as a company to get in, or can you just stumble up to the door and pay admission?

If you are talking about Interbike now (confused with the german show talk) its $200 for non-exhibiting before Aug something, then it bumps up after that.

DH Girlie, is it just a Business license? I thought it was more strict then that... we are an event management company and our thought was we have to pay the $200

I know my friend had to get a business license and show a pay stub...not sure what else he had to do...but I remember him saying it was like 250 bucks to get in at the door. I'm still mad at him for making me miss the Evel Kneivel autograph session about 5 years ago at the Hoffman booth!

Wow, this thread is getting started early. This year, my chances of going are slim to none. Last year, I was told I was going but one of my coworkers left the company and so I was left behind to handle CS department when everyone else was in Vegas. Honestly, I don't know how much longer I am going to be in the cycling industry so it may not even be an issue for 05 IB.

Keep your contacts! I can still get passes and I haven't worked in the bike industry for 6 years!

Good point. That reminds me, I know a guy who works for Interbike. I'll maybe hit him up this year for a pass.

IMO because the dirt demo started being held at Bootleg canyon the best days to go are the 1st 2 days and ride hard and then maybe 1-2 days at the show and all the vid premieres and what not for those days.
I'm sick of it by the 3rd usually .

Hey, boozing, biking and debauchery is hard work

Hell yeah...it's WAY better to go to Interbike on YOUR terms rather than WORK terms! I served as a spy when I worked for Bell...I would troll the competitors booths as a shop employee and gather information and pricing...it sucked cuz I'd be out whoopin it up in Vegas and then have to walk MILES all hung over and tired, miss out on all the good booths I wanted to see...WAY more fun to go on your own! No schmoozing dinners to attend, no parties to host, no meetings...awesome.

It all depends on what you are going for though. Going to just look at new products is one thing, going to network, secure deals, etc is another. Our trip will be 80% business 20% fun... but then again I enjoy this stuff so... what the heck!

You will have fun...it's a fun thing...some people that have gone for years and years get jaded...I used to get told that all the time when I'd ask the old timers if they were stoked to go and they'd be all nooooo...it'll get old to you too...well, I've been pretty much every year (cept for last year) since I think 1996, and its STILL fun...

I missed last year, the first time in like 8 years, but I'll be there this year, I'm certain.
New company, new faces, and hopefully less work than the last time I was there (6am-2am work day!).
Really looking forward to it!
100k- you've gotta come by and say hey, let me buy you a beer as a thanks for the hours of music I'm enjoying!
