Is that the same frame and geo as the eastern dj 4. i have one tell me what you think of my eastern
def. a nice bicycle!
Soooo much saturation!
My Black Betty is just waiting to be shipped, The '08 Nightrains have the same geo I'm told. Your bike's sick. How do you like those BM bars?
here is the pick of my eastern it weighs in at 25.8lbs
I love the bars they are awesome and mad light
no but i'm want to build one.
here's a nice action shot that shows off the bike
so what happened with the black betty ? got pics ?
Funny you should ask, I just called Eastern 2 days ago and have not heard back, but they had a hold up at the manufacturer, something about the dropout design. Late January I was told the last part of Feb it would be shipped.
I will definitely post when I get it.
price of the Black Betty?
Oh, and the Nighttrain looks like ****.
Good **** that is. Awesomely good ****.
Yikes, if its the same frame as the Nighttrain or Thunderbird, you might as well spend a little more and get the rest of the bike.
I think I'm gonna get me a 08 Nightrain full bike. I'm gonna send Bryan an E-mail right now.
There is a cs difference I believe. 14.75 BB vs 15.3 on the night train, the steel may be different too, I can't remember. Plus, I am doing a full build, I am not a fan of buying "completes".
Completes make sense to those of us who don't have a good wheelset, crankset, etc.
Wish Eastern would make another 24" Sus-Specific MTB.
several cool changes on the Nighttrain for '08.
might have to tell my friend to get one of these.
FRAME: Eastern NightTrain 26", Full Crmo, Spanish BB, Internal Headset, Removable Gyro Tab Holes (even though no gyro).
SIZES: 21.5" T/T, Chainstay: 14.7" slammed/ 15" to center, 72 degree headangle
FORK: RockShox Argyle 318, 80mm, 20mm thru
FRAME: Full Chromoly, Euro BB, Internal Headset, Removable Gyro Tab Holes(even though no gyro)
SIZES: 22.5" T/T, 15.35" chainstay, 72 degree headangle
FORK: Marzocchi Dirt Jumper III, 80mm travel, 20mm thru
I would recomend the '08 Thunderbird for price, geo and style:
Does anyone know the weight of a stock 08 nightrain? Desperate to find out as no one seems to know.....
