I have a friend that has one of those THINGS hanging in his garage as art..... Yes, I said THING. That is one of the worst frame designs ever. Get this. He is 6' 7" and 250lbs, so the frame is a extra large. It has an old school Girvan fork on it. I remember when he bought it back in 94. The funny thing was, the bike shop that built it up put small Girvan fork on the frame. Every time my friend jumped off a road curve he would flip over his handle bars because the small fork would bottom out on the tire. Can we say instant front brake. The bike shop keep saying it was the right fork for it. He never got them to give him the right size fork.Nick said:

For years I have tried to figure out how this was ever considered to be a good idea?
Most fast tech rocky sections are riden standing, right?
I don't think this bike was around in 94... looks more like a 95/96/97.. when the URT/"Sweet Spot" were all the range.FCLinder said:I have a friend that has one of those THINGS hanging in his garage as art..... I am not trying to be technical on when he got it. Just that he has one and it was funny seeing him flip over the bike. I know he got it a year or two out of High School (1993), which will put it in the 94 to 95 time frame.dump said:I don't think this bike was around in 94... looks more like a 95/96/97.. when the URT/"Sweet Spot" were all the range.
I hear you... I started riding in 94, and quickly became a huge techie (reading "mountain bike")... so I knew what the hottest bikes were @ that time... and remember this one coming a year or two later ... no big deal though.FCLinder said:I am not trying to be technical on when he got it. i don't expect a response from him, but will post up if he does send anything...i wrote said:Just so you know, I'd expect that bike to sell for about $1500 if that given its age, and the curious fact that no one else thinks using a URT bike for downhill is a good idea. Good luck with your sale...
