Hey

Just sold a frame on eBay to a guy in Canada who has zero feedback (hey, we all got to start somewhere ). He said he is willing to send a certified check or a International money order.

Is there anything fishy I got to watch for by accepting a certified check?

yes. the check might be a forgery. beware, especially since your bank may well accept the check, and then decide a week later that it is forged, after you have sent your frame off into the ether.

I imagine that would apply to the international money order as well ,eh?

Is either one of them lower risk?

Tell him you are going to have to wait until the check clears the bank before you send the frame.

For the certified check -- You can call the issuing bank and verify the check.
