Ebay problem

Knuckleslammer

took the red pill
Yo, I don't know much about EBAY. I've never really sold anything successfully on there until my helmet. Now what started out as a $65 Gyro Switchblade, ended up in a last minute bidding war that ended up at someone winning and the final price
Buyer ID Format Qty Sale Price Total Price Sale Date Action
********(8) 1 $207.50 -- Aug-17

Now I sent the buyer an invoice 2 days ago and he replied with this
Dear knuckleslammer,

I will pay by PayPal. Reply with the details. Thanks.

I sent him the details 2x and haven't heard from him since. Granted it has only been 2 days, but since I haven't head from him, I'm starting to think of 2 words

DED BEET.

However the guy has a 100% positive feedback rating of 8 transactions total and comments like
Great Buyer - Would highly recommend to anyone!
fast payment. Great e-bayer. Highly recommend
Fast Payment, no problems, good transaction A++
no hassle fast pay a+++
Highly recommended. Would love to work with this person again. A+
Fast payment. AAA!
Very fast payment, no problem what so ever... A+++
VERY FAST PAYMENT!! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!! A++++

Should I be alarmed? I want to ship this thing and forget about it and move on with my life? How long do these chumps have to pay for stuff? I'm already thinking of relisting it? I've emailed the other guy in the bidding war to offer a 2nd chance price. I've told the winner also, send me $200 and I'll cover the shipping as he's only in GA.
I've heard from neither of them.

What's a rageaholic like myself to do?

Yeah, I think Echo is right... 7 days till you can file a Non Paying Bidder complaint. The SOP seems to be 7 - 10 days max to make payment, with a good stream of communication. I would give the guy at least 4 days before giving him the 2 word label. But keep sending him e-mails, this way no one can say that you never contacted him or that he lost the e-mail. It could be that the guy got caught up in the heat of the bidding war. Still no excuse though. You shouldn't bid unless you intend to pay. You might be able to use the second chance offer thingie and offer the item to the bidder that had the next highest bid, this way you don't have to relist.

I mainly buy on e-bay but have sold a few things as well. What some people do is to not accept bids from people with negative feedback or low feedback. Say, under 10 or under 15. So far I have never had to file for the Full Credit thing so I am not sure how it works. Maybe others here know more about it and can give better advice.

Hope this helps a bit!

I buy lots of stuff on Ebay and I don't always have time to pay right away. Nothing wrong with taking a few days. Patience grasshopper.

Chill out.... it's been 2 days.

At 5 days send him a polite but stern email that if payment is not received via PP by 7 days after end of auction - you'll file a NPB report.

He's probably on vacation and had one of those auto bid snipers win the auction for him. He'll get back tomorrow, be all happy that he won, then find out you screwed him over, then you will get the bad feedback...

Yeah you shoulda been more patient Knucks - that is like double what you probably paid for the lid in the firstplace and who knows if a new auction will bring that high of a price.

Well he actually responded right after the auction saying that he would pay with paypal. I just can't deal with the non communication thing. If he gives me bad feedback, fine. So be it. I diddn't give him any bad feedback, although I really haven't waited long enough to warrant that. Yeah, I probably skrewd myself. Not that that's ever happened before :D

Damn Knuck, people go on vacations and stuff. You should have given him some time.

I thought the Giro Switchblade was discontinued. I've heard people complain that full face helmets that are good for XC are hard to come by. That said, it's very possible the $200+ sale is very legit.
