Aren't most of Specialized's bikes now 'Direct Mount Derailleur' which bolts onto the chain stay? or did they drop the idea a couple of years ago?

if you think about it, it makes perfect sense. As the swing arm rotates up the angle between the seat tube and the cogs decreases. By mounting the derailleur to the swing arm your angles in your drive train stay the same
