Yo. My first GMT.

I think :stosh: is on his way to Mountain Bike Weekend already to not ride.

Yup...Friday is here. Anybody got anything going on? I have an MBC Family thing tonight, then I need to ride my bike this weekend for some Dalton 24 hour race tuneup.

rain yesterday, so I went to the gym - sweated like crazy but couldnt get my HR up at all

taking it easy tonight. Saturday I'm doing a road TT

I am starting to think I wont have my replacement Hollowpoint expert frame for Dalton - sucks having spent the $ on a bike that pedals efficiently and I'll be stuck bob-ing up that climb on my old bike :(

That totally sucks about the IH. :( I'd be frustrated as hell.

We got bombed with thunderstorms yesterday evening. Of course, I had JUST put some food on the grill when the torrential rain started, so I got frikkin soaked while grilling.

I went to the gym last night. Worked back and biceps, then ran two miles. I had not run on the treadmill for a couple of months. My legs must have gotten stronger because it was much esier than I remember. I ran 2.09 miles in 20 minutes.

Last night I went for my first ride in a couple of weeks - family & work obligations have kept me busy in all of my "free" time. But last night my wife was stopping by a friend house with our daughter after work, so I knew I had a couple of hours to ride.

Took the cross bike on my usual ride - 5 road miles to the path, 7 miles on the path, then tool around on the trail at the end of the path & come home.

I was feeling pretty good on the trail section and was having fun experimenting with the cross geometry off road. Then I rode home. I was feeling great and was pushing it a little coming down the path. I popped off the path, looked East - and saw this big old black cloud coming my way. I boogied home - the 5 road miles were damn fast (for me), with a tailwind and the storm, chasing me.

I pulled into the driveway as the first drops of rain were falling, and ran to the front door to see one of my favorite sights - my 9-month old kid peeking out of the window at me waving.
Great night.

Sunday is my 1st Fathers Day as a dad - we're having a big old BBQ.:thumb: :thumb:

Morning. Didn't do much last night. It was raining here as well, so I just spent some quality time watching Scooby-Doo with my daughter. Tonight my Dalton team has a team "meeting" at the Parting Glass Pub in Saratoga. It's really just an excuse to go out and have some beers with my friends, but we'll probably discuss the race at some point. My sister is flying in from Ohio tomorrow to spend some time with my dad, my brother should be coming in from Tahoe sometime soon as well. I've got to work all weekend, so nothing planned for tomorrow or Father's Day. Hopefully I won't get a tie or more boxer shorts this year! An iPod would be nice! :)

Morning IAB and fellow Monkeys.

Liam's team won their second and final game of the baseball season last night. They squeezed in 5 innings before torrential downpours hit Bolton, CT. I got totally drenched heading to the Windstar after the game but it was well worth it.

I'll have my son Connor spending the weekend with me while Liam goes to NJ for some Drag Race or something with his Mom and her boyfriend. So it'll be cool to have some one on one time with Mr. Connor.

Hopefully I'll be able to to a Father's Day MTB ride - hopefully with friends.

Doug - as I said before you are welcome to ride my HP if you'd like. Just bring that Skareb fork with you. Perhaps that's the fork we could both run if you wanted to share the bike with me.

G'morning! Man the weather is beeYOOOOtiful here. I have to get out for a ride tonight.

Shot the breeze with peter6061 and his wife for about an hour last night when they stopped by to pick up jerseys for himself and the MTB Weekend folks. Cool people, looking forward to some rides in the future.

I got about 10 orders packaged, addressed, and in the mail this morning. Postal guy said they should be there Monday or Tuesday. I'm hoping to get the rest done this evening and to the post office by tomorrow morning.

Morning everyone! I rode my spin bike for 45 minutes last night!!!!!!!! My physical therapist said a bit of tension is ok, so I've graduated :) It's killing me not being outside riding because it's pretty. I have an awful swimsuit tan on my back from all the swimming I've been doing lately. I might venture outside for a road ride this weekend. I just have to plan a route with no hills and that's tough.

Have a good Friday!

Don't worry, they are coming. I would post them but the firewall on this computer doesn't allow me to sign in to personal email. I will have to see if I can get her to send them to me. But trust me guys, she is wicked hot. ;)

Dear IH,

Can you please rush me my frame, I need it for the 24 hours of Adrenaline @ Dalton so I can pass all my friends from Ridemonkey.com, and yell to them "I'm Dalton Doug Biotch!"

Also, maybe Ska Todd can help speed things?

Thanks
Douglas

Thanks. I just got out of my boss's office. It was a lot easier than I expected ;)

He had nothing but positive things to say. I offered to help in any way I could to make the transition easier, and they've taken good care of me for the past few years.

He told me to please let him know if I change my mind over the weekend :D

Your boss didn't say "I want you out NOW! Clean out your desk." then call for a security escort?

Fortunately, no :D

Although I was prepared for that. Not that I really believed he was going to do that, but some companies have an informal policy that people with access to important stuff aren't to stick around after they've given notice.

I quietly removed all the really important stuff yesterday, and only have a picture, mug and calender left to grab.

I'm going to be sorry to go. This is the best boss I've ever had, and there's a fair chance that he'll also be the best boss I'll ever have.
