Effect offset bushings on reach and stack

Another short question; as you might expect I'm thinking to fit some offset bushings on my bike but I can't figure out whether they will alter the bike's geometry.

Intuitively I'd say the reach would be slightly shorter because the bike tilts backwards around the pivot but then again I'm no engineer so I might be completely wrong here..

Any thoughts on this?

Offset bushings are designed to alter a bikes geometry by changing the i2i length of the shock. Most people use offset reducers to decrease the angle of the headtube by reducing the i2i. This also reduces seat tube angle, increases chainstay length and wheelbase, lowers the bottom bracket which will decrease your reach and increase your stack by a few millimeters.

MmmBones is correct that the reach will get a tiny bit shorter, and the stack a bit higher (assuming you're using the offset bushings to shorten, not lengthen the shock).

Thanks both, I will use them to rake out the bike indeed. It seems like it's only about a few milimeters so well worth a try.
