Sorry I should have nsfw tagged it

And, if that's the 1st time that someone has snuck that image into your eyes this year, you're already WAY ahead in 2020.

The old world
That Trump campaign press conference in some forsaken industrial lot was utterly bizarre. This has to be the only possible explanation, right?

Put away your sabres, because it is a little early to be opening the champagne.

My wife read an article this morning in Newsweek Japan that discussed the safe harbor deadline, electoral college voting, congressional certification, contingent election and the various potential 2020 scenarios. So, unsure and unable to answer some of her questions, I "did my own research" and found the NYT article below that described the process. (As an american I suppose I should know this process by heart, right?)

In a nutshell (I think), if the shitgibbon can dick things up until the "safe harbor deadline," then the constitution seems to dictate that the Governor and Congressional Houses in each state certify a winner of their chosing regardless of popular vote. In the swing states (see graphic in article) he has a good shot of getting the governors and congresses of the swing states to back him during this phase. Win goes to shitgibbon.

Failing success there, he still has another chance in the so-called "contingent election" in the House. Yes, Dems hold the House, but each state only gets one vote. Currently, it looks like shitgibbon would win this (second link).

All of this is hypothetical hand-wringing and arm-chair lawyering, but damnit how can it even be this close!?!?

WRT the veracity or political tendencies of the sources, got something better or something that shows other info?

Edit: Four more years of shitgibbon on the horizon, fight me! Please!
I wasn't aware this was already before the SC recently.

So there are a couple of hundred folks here at the showgrounds. When the networks announced that Biden won you could see people raising their fists in small groups until it filtered around to everyone. I would guess that the crowd was 95% anti Trump which figures as they are mostly professional educated women that would kick the shit out of anyone telling them to go home and make babies.

Down here we're having a blast with all the local so-called "libertarians" crying their hearts out and stating the US will become a socialist, crackhead nation . Prior to the election their stance was "Trump is the only thing standing between going full Venezuela and us" :bonk:.

Republican widows are the best... So easy to grind their gears... And even better when they don't even have any part in this election.
