Primary Duties:
Provides expertise in mechanical, electromechanical, electrical and electronic component integration with responsibility for design at the component and complete systems level. Works closely with scientists and other engineers within the group to gain full understanding of the required design criteria and ensure that the instruments fulfill the scientific needs. Also responsible for coordinating external resources to gain the necessary regulatory certification and with subcontractors to design and produce prototype, beta, and initial production model systems.
Qualification:
Bachelors degree in engineering discipline with at least three years demonstrable experience in mechanical design of intricate mechanisms.
