If the Marz Monster T came "directly" from a Moto-trials fork....does anyone have pics of the old moto-trial fork to prove it? :D That would be troublesome to my argument but wouldn't kill it...it would still require you to back up your statements. ;)

I saw an old bike video (93-94) that had what looked to be a Monster on the front of a trials motorcycle. It looked exactly the same. It had the same red stickers and all. I'm sure it had a different steerer tube, which would mean it had different crowns, but otherwise, you could tell the difference.

Looking similiar is different than being the same fork. I would even allow the crown steerer tube as an agreeable difference

Any idea if the stanchions on the trials bike were aluminum or were they steel? Any idea if the anything was lightened up at all for a MTB application? I am guessing the drop outs are lighters and less substantial. Was there an arch on the Trials bike? Other than stickers and general looks can you say with no doubt they just tossed the trials fork on a MTB?

Found this while searching for the stuff myself:
childrens trials forks....by Marz.

GASGAS.COM and the Pampera (look similiarish) This is not a full size bike (though it looks it) It is based on thier trials bike (80cc racer sizeish) and is much smaller than a full blown MX bike.

the monster t did start out as a trials moto fork. they made a few changes that were needed to make it a mtb fork, from what i hear the forks are very simular. the new monster is not used for that perpose(from what i know) it was only the very old one(the 4" travel one from long ago, it looked very different from the new one and the one before it). the is the best of my knowledge on the subject though
