After almost two months of seperation, man and DH bike meet again. A foreshadowing of events to come?
To get away from the high temperatures as of late, we headed out east in the mountains for a fun ride.
Please welcome our guest rider from the Philippine National Ski Team and the recent nominee for the US Worlds Team (Pussy and under class).
Lovebunny's better brother went along with us and did better than Teej in my opinion since it was also his first time riding here.
Heckling fiend, lovebunny.
Our homeboy Ed on his 12 yr old Cannondale HT showing TJ the roots of riding core.
First time on the DH bike since Jun 3.. "Ahhh, nice to be back..sorta." -Oz
TJ opted for alternate Line F.
"Shrimp, when you crop my pix, zoom in on me, aight?" - Lovebunny.
TJ's brother Andy also has the same birth date as Teej, he's not too happy about growing up with that unfortunate same day event.
Ed, just warming up.
Faster than TJ.............Andy.
Testing the space-age "cooling" catsuit.
"ED!! Listen!! See that rock in the middle, it's not even there." mtnbike dominator TJ
Ed was wise enough to not listen to racer boy.
"Is that zoomed-in??" - El Merrrrjigolo
Ahhhh...
Andy besting his lil pow wow brother.
TJ is a pop star.
Coming through...
"I wish Wes would show up on group rides and get served." TJ
West Side, layback.
The poison oak line.
Andy
"Orven, tell Wes how fast I was going." Bugs Bunny
At least Oz's old bike is getting some well-deserved use.
This shaded section is so friggin fast and smooth, Ed is ear-to-ear smiles.
My turn, bitches!
Down the last rock garden.
Andy's making it count despite a pumped front brake, as we later found out. Stud!
TJ, ofcourse, not to be eclipsed by his newbie bro!
Ed's valiant effort to clear it.....
TJ's heckling distracted Ed, dabbed and lost momentum.
"Ed, I left my bike up on top. Ride it, pin this section and shut TJ up." Oz
Onboard a more capable bike, Ed rolled in....tentatively...
Setting up...let go
Pinned it and laughed at TJ at the bottom. Served!
Speaking of guns.
Random moment of silence and tranquility on the 90 degree bike ride.
Skinsuit alert!
Bottom of the luge section.
"Zoom in! Zoom in!!!" -TJ
Orv was 0.013th of a second faster with the suit according to lovebunny's guestimation.
Andy, glad that it was almost done.
...and so was Ed.
"You must be sweating up a bucket-full in that suit."- TJ
"Nah! It actually works dang good. It's what, like 97 degrees out, it feels like 95 in this suit." Oz
Fun fun ride. Two new first time riders survived without crashing. It was just hot and dry that we all ran out of water by the time we got to our trucks.
