Any recommendations for EP? We're looking to go for a weekend in August and want to bring our dog.

Any hiking trail that allows dogs, maybe off-leash?

lodgin im not sure on. but i kno for a fact your dog cant go in rock mtn national park but there are a ton of hikin trails in the area that allows dogs, and all of them "require leashes" however that is more of a guideline in this area

Check out Colorado Cottages (http://www.colocottages.com/). Nice place, real quiet. We stayed there in April and had a great time (kickass off-season rates). The owners were super nice and recommended a few dog-friendly hikes for us. There is one out on route 7 (towards Long's Peak from Estes) that allows dogs--amazing views. We had ours off leash the whole time and so did everyone else on that trail. The owners of the Cottages knew of a few other hikes you could do w/ dogs too. And you can bring your dog into RMNP but it has to always be on a leash. Good luck.
