i, presumably, have this here X Gen front derailleur set up correctly on my DOC (2x9, 32/ 22), but i'm still occasionally throwing the chain to the outside. i can't lower it any more or it will hit the chainstay. the cage is parallel, the limit screws are set properly. any ideas? i want to ride tomorrow.

should i have gotten XT?

Yes you should have gotten XT. What is the clamp size??? I have an XTR that is 31.8 that fits nothing I own. If it's going out, you should be able to limit it, but I have heard nothing good about the Gen X derailleurs.

When are you riding? I have to go to lunch at 11, but would be down for later in the day.

You SHOULD go to AR with us.

it's a 34.9. i was all excited to try it. Ron was like, "my LX/ XT combo shifted better, but the SRAM X Gen isn't bad enough to make me switch back..."

i tried it in order to try something new. hope that doesn't bite me in the ass.

i'm rolling out tomorrow morning. 10-ish, in order to beat the heat, and get back to the shop if i want to pick up an XT.
