Nice, how do you like those Da Bomb rims?
I wanted to get a 24" set of those but my wheelbuilder couldn't get them so I went with MTX's..

The rims work fine, a bit on the heavy side. The MTX rim is a better choice according to me, so you did the right thing :) I´m thinking about buying a lighter rim, but haven´t found the one I want yet.

I´ll give the frx´s a lookie loo!
The CK sets are porn, but I got a great deal on the Syncros. Besides, I couldnt afford a CK cause of the mark up on Evil frames in Europe. I payed about 1,170 USD frame only.

what is your intended useage? all round'r, dj/urban, xc???

either way very nice. ive recently gotten the itch for one of those.
how far did that setup get into yer wallet if i may ask?
Intended for all round use. Some trail, and urban stuff (I´m a wuss when it comes to the hardcore stuff) So far I´m in love with the frame. I think I´ve put about 4000 USD into the setup if I count gears and chainguide. But you have take into account that bike parts are much more expensive here in Sweden then in, for example the US.

That is a real nice bike man. I would but a dj seat on it and cute those bars down a bit.
Sorry to dissapoint you, don´t really care for jump seats and kinda like wide bars :) My reason for using a "normal" seat is that I often sit on it. It is an all rounder intended for some longer rides with the post all the way up. .

Yeah, that is nice. I just got a Banshee Scratch.....steel HT's seem to be the new thing. How is the Sovereign different from the DOC? Geometry and matrials, I guess.

WKC; As far as I know thats what differs. Found out today that the frame weighs 2.9 Kilos, +- 10 grams.

why those forks ?

form over function ?
Actually form and function goes hand in hand this time. Feels stiffer an lighter than my old Pike. So far no complaints, and i know the previous owner, he had no problems with it´s function.

I wrote that it feels stiffer, not shure that´s actually the case. Also I wanted a lighter fork wich suits my riding better. After switching I felt a huge difference in bike handling. The stroke feels better, much springier and more pop. And it`s much easier to throw around now.

I´m not using the original 24mm axel made from very thin aluminum, but a solid stainless steel machined 24-20mm adapter.

if you wanted to save weight then the big'uns were surely the first candidate

you have a hardcore street bike frame with carbon seatpost/xc forks

looks like an exhibit

Could anyone recomend an e-store in the EU that sells sram X.O at a good price?
I think Chain Reaction Cyles would be a good bet. I don't know much about Europe's e-stores since I live in the US, but Chain Reaction is a BIG international store, and is located in Europe. I put a link below to their SRAM products.

this frame is what you build it up to be since it´s a street/trail frame.
I´ve tryed to build it somewhere in the middle. The wheels comes from my Gemini after that I used tmen on my Imperial. I havent got round to changing to lighter rims yet. and by the way, BigUns arent heavy, just a few grams more than XT hubs.
The carbon post is only cause I got it real cheap, and yes, carbon is bike porn so that´s a bonus.

Try to be a bit more constructive in your critisism, you may not always know all the facts.

I´ve ordered from them alot, but they´re not very cheap on the sram parts. In fact, I can get the X.O rear mech cheaper here in Sweden. Thanks anyway, appreciate it :)

No problem. Like I said, I live in the States so I don't know much about European e-stores; I usually order from JensonUSA or PricePoint.com, assuming I can't get something from my local bike shop.

I would love to order from the states, but taxes and tolls eat up any "profit". A bit envious on all the stuff you guys can choose from, and most of it is much cheaper.
Not alot is more expensive over there than here in Europe, only example I know of is 24 bicycles, maybe DMR and Hope.

If anything i wrote seems weird, Ijust came of the night shift ;)

Dan-Rides-Bikes;

Thx for the link. Sounds like a fat rig... a chase build on a budget like that must be a very nice bike, got a thread for it? Link?

Like I said, the parts on my bike comes from 2 previous builds. Both bulkier than my riding style. First the Gemini, and then the Imperial. The more I ride the more I find out about myself and what I like to do on my bike. I´m leaning more and more towards a light all-mountain/trail setup, but still tough and tight enough to play around with and do some Ryan Leech wannabe riding.
You can´t say that the components I´ve chosen doesn´t fill it´s function since you don´t know my riding style.

Damn, this is pretty much what I plan on building except with an Imperial frame and avid brakes!

Awesome setup.
